InterHealth Nutraceuticals: James Lugo, Zainulabedin Saiyed

InterHealth Nutraceuticals, Benicia, CA, has appointed James Lugo, PhD, director of business development and research. He will be responsible for overseeing all related activities, including tracking industry trends and developments, identifying and evaluating potential products and managing the new product development process. A veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Lugo has led new product launches for such companies as Elan Pharmaceuticals and Chugai Pharmaceuticals. The company has also hired Zainulabedin Saiyed, PhD, as R&D manager. He previously worked as assistant professor in the Department of Immunology, College of Medicine, at Florida International University. He will be responsible for managing InterHealth’s pipeline of research studies.
